A Peek Into the Doll Dining Kit

Hey girls!
Recently I purchased the Doll Dining Kit from American Girl, and I thought it would be fun to show you what's inside.  I hope you enjoy the video! :)

Do you have the Doll Dining Kit?  If not, do you want it?

P.S. Please let me know if the text on AG Dolly Sisters is unusually large or anything, it isn't on my screen but just wondering if it is for any of you :)

The Audition Part 1

Hey girls!
Time for a new photo-story series!  I hope you enjoy it, Part 1 is kinda just an intro type of thing...but anyways here we go :)
Saige saw Mal, sitting in her bed and strumming on her guitar, singing to a song.  "What are you doing, Mal?" asked Saige.

"Oh, I'm practicing for this musical I'm auditioning for next Thursday.  The part is made for me--it's about a girl who moves to France and a musical and everything!"

"That sounds great!" said Saige, "but I've never seen you practice so much.  You've been in here for like 3 hours.  Is something up?"

"Well," said Mallory, "that's because I normally just get the part I audition for because acting is my thing--and I looove it!  But this girl named Emily who transferred from somewhere in Europe, who happens to speak French and specializes in singing, says she will audition.  But I need that part, it's meant for me!"

"See?" said Mal pointing to a France poster beside her bed, "I looove France!  And I can even speak French!"

"Well," said Saige, "I'm sure you'll get the part.  Your amazing at acting, and you've been acting since your four!  I'm sure you'll get it."

"Thanks," said Mal, setting the guitar aside and holding the iPad up, "see here?  She blogs for the school blog, and she just posted about auditions and she will audition for the main part."

"Don't worry," said Saige, "you'll do fine."
What do you think will happen?  Will Mal get the part?  Or will Emily?  Stay tuned for Part 2!
Update:
I am planning on remodeling my dolly room--giving Kit, Sydney Lee & Molly their own bedroom.  Ruthie, Mal, Caroline and Saige will stay here.

Here's a pic of what the space will look like when Kit, Molly & Sydney Lee get their own room.

Caroline and Saige will still stay up on top ;)

And Mal and Ruthie get the bunkbed!

Here's a pic of Mal and Ruthie's nightstand, I just did it the other day and it has the iPhone, Paul Frank toy guy thing, Mal's Meet Rebecca book, and the guitar books.
What do you think of the new room? :)

Goodbye Saige!

Like I did a week ago, I'm doing a Goodbye Post for Saige because she is now retired, gone into the GOTY Archives :(
Saige is a beautiful doll.  She was my fifth doll and I got her for my birthday back in April. I was very pleased with my purchase and I loved Saige ever since then.

From Saige's Collection, I have her Meet Outfit, Sparkle Dress and Sweater Outfit.  Her collection was very stunning--but her Sweater Outfit had to be my favorite!

At first when I purchased Saige, I was scared to do anything or even brush her beautiful curls.  But after awhile, I messed around with them and I discovered how beautiful and easy to manage, and I began to love Saige even more.

Saige is so beautiful, and she turns out right in every picture.
Good-bye, Saige!
Do you have Saige or any of her items?

~Meeting Mini Ruthie~

Hey girls!  It's Mini Becca here, and sometimes a mini doll just has to post!  Here's what happened today (in my perspective) while the dolls were at school...
It was a dull and boring snowy, cloudy day and I sat in my usual spot in Mal's room, and Ruthie had dropped off Meatloaf for the day.  I was getting bored listening to that dog's snoring, so I figured I should go snooping around.

I got out of my bed and remembered--Mini Ruthie still needed to be opened!  She was probably so scared, lonely and frightened in that box--just as I was when Mal opened me, but now I love staying here!

I inched closer towards Mal's closet (look at all the dresses she piled up in there! O.O).  Next to the bed Mal and Saige had hidden Mini Ruthie--Ruthie's birthday present.

I jumped over the lamp cord crossing Mini Ruthie's box, and landed perfectly on my feet.

With all my strength, I managed to lift Ruthie's box up, and throw it over the cord (sorry Ruthie ^_^)

I set her down carefully

And then I opened the box, where a doll and a book lie inside.

I carefully picked up the book, setting it aside.

"Hello?" a little voice peeped from inside the box.

"Hey!" I called, "my name is Rebecca, but just call me Becca. I am Mallory's doll, and soon you are going to be Ruthie's doll!  Your a Mini Ruthie!"

"Wow!" said Mini Ruthie calmly, "Nice to meet you.  What will my name be?"

"I don't know," I said, "but for now I'm going to call you Ruth."

"Wonderful!" said Ruth, "I've always liked that name!"

"When is Ruthie's birthday?" asked Ruth, probably wondering when she would be out of the stuffy box.

"February 12th," I replied, "but until then, I promise to visit you everyday and we can play together.  We can run from Meatloaf and play hide and seek and play pranks on the dolls!"

Here is a picture of both of us, besties! ;)

A side view

Sadly, Ruth had to go back in her box but I will see her again tomorrow!

I lifted the lid back on the box

And placed her right where she belonged!  See you tomorrow, Ruth!
Did you enjoy our photostory? :)

American Girl Doll Order

Hey girls!
I am very happy because today I got my American Girl Doll order!  Once again, I am very happy with everything I got and I hope to use Mini Ruthie as Ruthie's Birthday Present (which is February 12th).  In the meantime, I will have to keep Mini Ruthie hidden, but she can still have visits from Mini Rebecca and Meatloaf ;)  Anyways, onto the video!
I hope you enjoyed my video and let me know if you have any of the items in the video or want reviews on them!
Thanks!

Dolly Sisters Weekly-1/3/13

AG Dolly Sisters Weekly #2, 1-3-13
Holiday Highlights
Hey girls!  It's Kit, and sorry this is a day late, Meatloaf had to go to the vet yesterday and I took him. Anyways, we had a wonderful Christmas and New Year, and we hope you did, too!  Christmas was wonderful—we spent Christmas Eve baking cookies, singing Christmas carols, going to Mal's Christmas party and watching Christmas movies.  On Christmas Day we woke up, opened presents, had a big breakfast then talked about the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus.
For New Year's Eve, we stayed up till midnight and made popcorn (Saige got her hands on some Dr. Pepper-man was she hyper! o.O).  At midnight, we blew blow horns and threw confetti (which we had to clean up afterwards....).  On New Year's Day we made New Year's Resolutions (which will be posted soon)
It's a New Year!
It's finally 2014!  Be sure to check out our 2013 video!!  Now that the holidays are over, things wind down and there is not so much craziness.  How was your 2013?
That's all for this week!
Your reporter and writer,
Kit

Good-bye Molly and Emily!

It's always sad when a doll retires, especially a Historical (because you know the Girl of the Year is going to retire).  I thought it would be nice to give a Good-bye post to Molly and Emily (Saige's is coming next week).

Molly was one of the first dolls to come out, along with Kirsten and Samantha.  Molly looks simply adorable in anything, and she has beautiful, long hair.  Emily has beautiful bright red hair, a super cute meet dress, and her eyes are a brilliant blue.
I was lucky to be able to purchase Molly at the American Girl Place in May.  I have never, ever regretted my purchase because she is a beautiful doll and is probably the most photogenic of my dolls.  I love how Molly looks in this picture, and the grass in the background.
Along with purchasing Molly, I also purchased her Polka-Dot Dress which she looks beautiful in (Molly's polka-dot dress is probably my favorite of her collection).
Later that summer, I ordered from American Girl, and when it came I received Molly's Birthday Dress and Molly's (NEW) Spring Pajamas.  Once again, I was very delighted with my purchase from American Girl because both of the outfits looked adorable on Molls!
Lastly, in December, I got Molly's Christmas Dress for Christmas.  I was planning on getting her Tap Outfit, as well, but it was sold out ;(
So far, I have been pleased with all of my purchases from the Molly Collection.  If I could have any outfit of hers I didn't have, it would be her Tap Outfit.
I hope you all had the chance to get Molly before she retires (if you wanted her).  But if you didn't, keep checking Amazon and eBay for some good deals ;)
We love you Molly and Emily!!!

Now that it is 2014, we wanted to remember 2013 by creating a Year in Review 2013.  I hope you enjoy the video!  The music is "Hold Me" by Jamie Grace, featuring tobyMac and "Me Without You" by tobyMac
Before we end this post, we want you all to know how thankful AG Dolly Sisters is.  We started in February, on the 16th, and we have grown enormously since then.  Without your help, AG Dolly Sisters wouldn't be here today.  We thank you all for just viewing, reading, leaving comments and sharing our blog with your friends.  We hope AG Dolly Sisters will have more posts and more followers soon, but we thank you for helping us with AG Dolly Sisters.  I hope you all had a wonderful 2013 and have an even more wonderful 2014.
Thank you! :)

My Opinion on American Girl's New Release

Today, American Girl released some new items and Isabelle Palmer, GOTY 2014's whole collection.  Here we will take a look and I will give my opinion on the New Release.
First off, Isabelle.  I think she is very cute, and her meet outfit is as well.  I love the hairpiece and how her hair comes.  But take a look at this--$120.  The prices for GOTY just went up!  And we thought it was going up $5 every year!  Okay, okay, I get it--it's made out of good material and everything, but some people can't afford dolls!!
Next we have her accessories.  I think $30 is a little too much for a jacket, arm warmers, a little purse, a metro pass/school ID and a hairpin.  I do like the jacket, but I do not think I will be purchasing Isabelle or her accessories (unless I change my mind)
Isabelle's Pajamas.  These are actually really cute, and I like how AG still kept it $24. I think the headband is cute and the top is, too.
Isabelle's Metallic Dress. I LOVE THIS SO MUCH!  It is adorable--AG totally needed to make something like this.  I think this would be perfect for Mal or Saige. :)
This is Isabelle's performance set, and I think it's really cute.  I like how it's not all pink and the black leotard with leggings.  Some of that could be used as a gymnastic leotard, for you gymnastic fans ;)

Isabelle's purple leotard.  I like the gold down the middle, and for once AG didn't make a ridiculous price on just a leotard-$12 is actually quite reasonable.
Isabelle's rosette leotard.  I don't really see a difference to the other leotard except the rose and the colors, yet this is $10?? ;P
Isabelle's Coral Sweater. This is $14, and I think it is okay, if you know what I mean...
Isabelle's Wrap Sweater.  This is quite cute, also, but the person jumping or dancing on the side is kinda random..lol jk ;)
This is Isabelle's practice top, and $8 is actually a good price, but I do not think I will be purchasing this.
This is really cute!  I love the sparkles and the tie at the top--simply adorable!
These are Isabelle's scrunch pants.  The sequins at the top are cute..
Here is Isabelle's sparkly skort.  Once again, this is cute, but not something I would purchase.
Isabelle's legwarmers.  They are okay..but I don't really think my dolls need legwarmers, you know?  I think you could easily sew or make these out of a human sock.
Isabelle's Barre. I don't really want this, but I think the price is kinda outrageous just for those accessories and the barre (together $109 with the case thing), which you could get at another doll place (like OG) for about $20-$30.
Isabelle's kitten, named Tutu. I think this is so cute but I think Isabelle should have a different animal--maybe a turtle or a guinea pig?
This is a very cute set, but I think the price is kinda outrageous!! I think you could easily get something like that at another doll store for around $50-$100, but not $275!!  And the sewing machine--doesn't Our Generation have one of those?
Now for other non-Isabelle things...
The Pretty Pink Outfit, which I believe is for Valentine's Day.  This is really cute but I think AG should have branched out and done another color besides pink, like maybe black & pink together?
The Friends are Sweet Set.  I think you could make a lot of things in this set, other than the XOXO balloon which you could probably buy somewhere (they have mini balloons like that).
The Tennis Outfit is cute, but none of my dolls are really into tennis so it is not something I would be purchasing.
The Heart & Tank Brief Set.  My dolls might actually need something like that, but I don't know..
Pink Tank & Brief Set.
Platform Sandals.  These are really cute! :)
These are canvas sandals, they are cute but not really something I'd want ;)
The Turquoise Glasses, which are adorable!  They are backordered though??
The rosy glasses, which are also backordered???
The lime glasses.
A charm-keeper necklace.  Thankfully if you loose yours you can buy another for just $8.
Overall, AG's release was cute but some of it was overpriced.  My favorite was Isabelle's metallic dress and the turquoise glasses.
What do you think?
